Some people like to forget the month of February; it's freezing, the days seem extremely short, and we are all trying our best to get ourselves together in honor of the new year. But February 11th is now a day dedicated to all the girl bosses of the world and it's about time more people know about it.
International Day of Women and Girls in Science
When the word 'science' is said, most people associate that with males... Why? Everywhere you look there are more and more female scientists doing ground breaking work in so many different fields.
According to the United Nations, a study conducted in 14 countries concluded, the probability for female students of graduating with a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree and Doctor’s degree in science-related fields are 18%, 8% and 2% respectively, while the percentages of male students are 37%, 18% and 6%.
In order to bring equality to women and the science world, the UN has officially declared February 11th International Day of Women and Girls in Science to help encourage girls of all ages to follow their dreams and make a change.

After studying fashion, she moved on to pharmaceuticals and then began mastering entrepreneurship. She carries a positive and upbeat vibe with her in the work place and reminds us all daily of what being a girl boss is all about.
