Heart Disease is the #1 cause of death in the US, so to try and raise awareness, February is American Heart Month. What is more surprising is that there is a big connection between your heart and hearing loss.

Blood flow plays such a huge factor when it comes to your ears and hearing properly. The problem occurs if the blood vessels in your ear are not able to get enough circulation which contributes to the tiny hair cells in the cochlea being destroyed. These small hairs are how your brain interprets what sounds or noises you're hearing. In short, blood flow is the key component to healthy hearing.
